Default 'Shawshank Redemption' -- pre-release buzz

Warner has announced (at last!) a date for one of their most highly-anticipated catalog releases:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/shaw...edemption.html

It's not due until November 4, so there are no specs or supplement details at this early date.

Retail is $28.95. Stay tuned!

A must-own for me. One of my favorite movies! I also want The Green Mile on blu-ray.

I remember this being listed in the little "coming 2006" HD DVD insert back when I first got into that format.

I can't wait till November... It is too far off... Why would they tease us like that? I'd rather not know than know I have to wait 9 months!

Cant wait. I love that the MSRP is in line unlike Fox's catalog movies.

I think it is very encouraging to see an MSRP under $30. And this is one of the top 10 films ever made, IMHO.

If what I saw on HDNet Movies is any indication, we're in for a treat...it looked great!

This is in my top 3 movies of all time, so it's an easy sell for me, but to wait until November is going to kill me!

I'll be happy to wait until November if this film gets the treatment it deserves. Some films, such as CE3K and Alexander, have been given the best possible transfer and the director's vision of the true final cut. They do not intend to touch it again. I will cheerfully wait until November if this great film receives this treatment.

I wished New Line did the transfer because all their releases have DTS-MA, and take a look at the PQ/SQ on their past releases.
