Purple Rain

I still maintain that this has perhaps the best soundtrack of all time...ever. Yes, the acting is sub-par, but the soundtrack and the general badd assness of Prince and Morris Day make up for it.

Its a shame that "pop" music now has people like Usher when there was a time when pop music was dominated by people like prince and morris day and the time.

Die Hard

Book of Eli. It was on cable and I caught the last 30 minutes. Then decided to pop in the blu ray and watch it. I love that movie. Tried watching with the special picture in picture feature and I just couldn't. I shut that feature off and enjoyed the rest of the movie.

Haywire. I think Gina Carano's extremely hot. Great action sequences, story ok. 7/10 overall. Good PQ.

Die Hard with a Vengeance

After watching Die Hard 2 and With a Vengeance real close together, I now put Vengeance as my 2nd favorite Die Hard. I think what really puts it over the top is that the 2nd banana character actually stands up to McClane. And Sam Jackson is an actor who can handle standing up to Bruce Willis. Plus Jeremy Irons, while not as cool as Rickman, is better than Sandler and so much better than Olyphant.

Not even a comparison. Vengeance is one the most biggest pieces of shit films I have ever watched. Olyphant is the WORST actor in that movie. Absolutely one of the worst performances I have ever witnessed. You couldn't pay me to watch Vengeance again.

I only brought up Olyphant as a comparison for how good Irons was in Vengeance. I am not sure what happened to Olyphant in DH4. Dude is usually solid. But I have only seen DH4 one time. I just bought the Die Hard set last week as am working my way through them. Just need to watch the last flick now and am dreading it.

Live Free or Die Hard

Not as bad as I remember. Actually would of been a decent generic Bruce Willis action flick if the character wasn't John McClane. But since it was John McClane (who no longer says fuck or smokes), it really is not up to par with any of the other Die Hards. They also should of let Olyphant have some fun with the role. It was obvious Rickman and Irons were having a blast playing villains. Maybe should of let Olyphant have some fun too.
