Default Opus Arte Adds Blu-ray to High-Def Menu

It's not Paramount or Universal, but fine arts video distributor Opus Arte (which had been HD DVD exclusive) has announced plans to release discs on HD DVD *and* Blu-ray beginning this Spring.

I'm glad to see some more classical titles are coming to Blu-ray. Now if we can just get Peter Gelb, General Manager of the MET to release some titles. Peter Gelb used to be the head of Sony classical.

Its always good news to hear that another studio is going to do blu too, even though its a smaller one. The more the merrier.

All companies going purple, like Opus Arte is doing, would be the best of all possible worlds for consumers. But I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to happen.
