Thumbs up 'John Legend: Live at the House of Blues' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'John Legend: Live at the House of Blues' is up, and it's another stellar example of pristine shot-on-HD video. As Peter says in the review, if you've ever seen an HD concert on television, you know that the biggest drawback to over-the-air HD is bandwidth -- with 25 gigs at its disposal, that's not a problem with this Blu-ray, which earns a 4 (out of 5) star video rating.

Looks like 4.5 stars, but who's counting. Can't wait for Amazon to get some in stock.

This looks like it should silence any detractors. A 4.5 rating on a 1080i MPEG-2 film on a BD25.

Ive been looking for this EVERYWHERE...I eventually had to order off BestBuy.Com...should be able to give my impressions later this week...CANT WAIT! Everything he says about John Legend couldnt be more true. You can call him a musician...and not cringe...or laugh. Thats a lot more than I can say for a lot of people making "music" these days...

BestBuy.com came through for me! I didnt even know this Blu Ray existed until I happened to pass it by on BestBuy.com about 2 weeks ago. It's been out since October? Where? I couldnt find it ANYWHERE except for the best buy website. So, this was a must have. John Legend is my favorite artist ... possibly ever (Watch out, Prince!). Ive never been big into concert DVDs (the last one I bought was "Up In Smoke" Tour)....but, this was a GREAT buy. Im thrilled with it...so much so that Ill definitely give concert Blu Rays a shot, when they release an artist I like. The picture quality is insane. Ive watched concerts before on one of those HD Channels (cant remember which) and this just blows it out of the water. Since November...Ive watched maybe 1 DVD...and so its getting harder and harder for me to see how much of a step up HD Movies are over DVD...but, this one didnt present that problem. You could see every bead of sweat...just amazing. You probably wont see this in any store...but, if youve got 23.99$ laying around...order it online now.

You should also be able to find them in Best Buy stores - I saw one yesterday at mine.
