Default 'Gone Baby Gone' – High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth's review of 'Gone Baby Gone' is up. He says the film is an outstanding thriller and that this Blu-ray release will make a good addition to your library, with an admirable video transfer, a remarkable uncompressed PCM audio track, and a slim, but excellent collection of supplements.

Couldn't have said it better about the movie. What a dilemna.

I wasn't interested in this one until this review. I'll rent it and see what I think.

Kenneth S. Brown, I must praise you. You have become a fantastic disc reviewer and I really think that you and Peter are among the best at what you do in the HD world! I also like that yours and Peter's reviews have become very uniform (intentionally or not), and it's very hard to tell which one of you is reviewing the disc without reading your name on the review.

Keep up the fabulous work, both of you!

i'm not sure where i'm looking, but there's an "a" inside an octogon on the back of the case. i couldn't find anything else that stated what region it might be.

Pretty good review. This is the second review I have read that mentioned black crush in the transfer, but that never really bothers me much.

I still am on the fence. I keep hearing people say this is a one watch movie. So I dont know if I want to buy it If I will never feel motivated to watch it again.

Especially since the Blu Ray is not necessarily demo material.

Wow this movie wasn't even on my radar but that review certainly is making me consider a blind buy!

I watched it last night and I'm watching it again right now before I send it back to Netflix. Then later today I'm going to consider buying it. The last movie I watched twice in a row was Sunshine and Casino Royale before that.

I really liked this film when I saw it in the theatre last Fall. I had it as one of my top 5 of the year and thought it should have been included as a Best Picture Oscar nominee. I would have put it on the ballot over Atonement. My only problem with buying it right now is that I have become spoiled. I have watched too many new releases come out at a price point only to see significant price drops within less than two months after release. So I'll wait a bit but this is definitely on my future buy list.
