Thumbs up 'The Pursuit of Happyness' - High-Def Digest Review

Just posted Peter's review of 'The Pursuit of Happyness' -- he has some reservations with the script, but (as usual) Will Smith saves the day with a winning performance. As a Blu-ray release, this one's very good, boasting a 4.5 (out of 5) video rating, and 4.0 audio rating.

I was very excited to see this review.

Looks awesome, can't wait to pick it up. Didn't see it in theaters.

Peter ...

You mentioned various scenes in New York but I swear, if I am not mistaken, wasn't the film based in San Francisco?

This movie was really good, I liked it a lot.

Will Smith really played well.

Maybe I'll buy this soon.

The review of the movie itself was spot on. I was expecting more of an uplift at the end then what was given, especially after the film was depressingly draining. However, it was a great performance by Smith and good chemistry with his (real life) son.

Great story and film. I turned around in the theater, and literally everyone was in tears. I've never witnessed anything like that before.

Good movie, really puts certain things in life into prospective. I can't see spending new release money on it, but might pick it up later on down the line. Will Smith did an excellent job, I don't see this movie working without him starring in it.

the story looks good and i love will smith. i was hoping he'd get the oscar for his role because it seemed like he did a great job playing the man that he played. but the movie looks a little boring to be honest. i think i'm gonna buy it thought because i love will smith and just like in this forum,i have heard good things about it

No, Brokeback is in its own category that HD DVD can keep.
