Peter's review of 'The Amateurs' has been posted. He says the film is a surprisingly Capra-esque underdog comedy about small town losers getting together to make their own adult film. This Blu-ray release sports some average audio and video tracks, but a nice assortment of extras, making this one worth a possible rental on a rainy Sunday.

Whats with First Look releasing their movies with nothing but ported-over standard DVD audio tracks? I don't really mind the lossy audio really but why not max out the bitrate? At the very least give us 640kbps DD and 1.5 Mbps DTS.

Just watched this one (running out of BDs to rent at Hollywood Video). I may have rated a little higher as to the movie itself, but the sound and video ratings were pretty close to what I would have given them. This is one of those "Why bother putting on Blu-ray?" titles.
