And this is why I'm glad Blockbuster rents Blu-ray. My daughter will want to see it, but I'm not interested in buying it.

Also, given the limited extras, does anyone else get the impression that Fox is as surprised as everyone else at the success of this movie?

Liked the cartoons as a kid. Pass on this. May give it a rent if I can't find anything else that day. I'm sure there's ONE good laugh in there somewhere.

Hey Fox, how about some catalog announcements please?

I think I speak for most HD enthusiasts when I say, I didn't buy into blu ray to see Alvin and the Chipmunks in HD.

    I'd pass.
I never liked watching Alvin and the Chipmunks. It always annoyed me how their voices sounded. That whole process of record it slowly, then speed it up, sounds exactly like that. I must admit that I used to mess around with my LPs when I was kid by spinning them without turning the motor on. But, the trailer was a bit nasty too. That whole thing of giving the other one a turd to eat was disgusting. This is supposed to be a kids movie for crying out loud.

Juno is a must haha, great film. I think its Napoleon Dynamite meets Knocked Up for some reason.

As for the chipmunks movie i found myself laughing quite a bit, better than most family flicks.

Don't think I could possibly hear those voices for more than a few minutes! They're almost as annoying as the VeggieTales voices.
