Default 'The Queen' -- pre-release buzz

Buena Vista has made a surprised announcement for 'The Queen' on April 24

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh..._The_Queen/499

Not probably ideal demo material, but great to see a high-profile Oscar winner on Blu-ray. And a good movie, too...

Helen Mirren rocks. Haven't seen The Queen yet but I did watch her in Elizabeth.

Very good film, but can't see myself buying this one. If anything I may get it on DVD for a lot cheaper than the BD.

I saw this movie in the theatres and went in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. It's not one that will wow you, but it does provide a solid glimpse into the behind the scenes issues that surrounded Princess Di's death. Lots of emotions for lots of different people creep in while watching this movie. I would go more in-depth, except its one of those where you need to experience it.

Obviously this film is not a guy-flick. But rather it's also not necessarily a chick-flick either. I guess if I had to categorize it as something, I would say it's a more mature film that goes at a slower pace.

My recommendation if you haven't seen it yet... rent before buy.

I haven't seen the flick myself, but judging from the previews, I'm gonna say that the sound on this movie isn't exactly Lord of the Rings. So, why is Buena Vista blessing 'The Queen' with 24-bit audio, when 'Reign of Fire,' a much more sonic ear candy kind of movie, only got 16-bit audio? I mean, WTF?
