Default 'Walk Hard' -- pre-release buzz

Sony has announced a March 25 arrival for the Judd Apatow comedy:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/walkhard.html

A two-disc set, extras include an unrated cut of the film running a full 30 minutes longer, audio commentary with Apatow, John C. Reilly and others, multiple featurettes, deleted scenes, full song performances, and a Line-O-Rama montage.

No tech specs yet, but stay tuned.

Retail is $43.98.

I like how everyone yelled about HD-DVD combo discs being $40 when BR discs are only getting more expensive. $44 bucks for WALK HARD (which I really liked in the theater)?! What is this, laserdisc?

Not bashing the film as I haven't seen it yet, but John C Reily is such a great actor, I'd hate to see him continue to take on more comedy roles just to get more attention.

I'll pick it up, but the price of BRDs is starting to get to me, especially those $30 catalog titles.

hmmmm $44? have they lost their mind....At best this could reach Amazon at 30% off in the Mid-High 20's. So expect a $27.95 price range! Yikes!!!

We can all hope BestBuy sells it for under $30! which is what the average new releses has been for the past 12 months

Nice to see people finally warming up to this movie espeically with all the hate it recieved, before people even saw it, claiming it to be one of the most stupid movie ideas ever with no remote chance of being funny at all.

I loved this movie. Sure Knocked Up and Superbad are great, but Apatow really out-did himself with this one. Hilarious. Can't wait for 3/25!!!

That being said, $44 for a Blu Ray disc is a LUDACRIS. HTF does Sony get off charging this much for a movie?? I could careless about the special edition with 2 discs too, sure the features will be great... doesnt change the fact that Blade Runner has 5 discs for $34.99

I guess this is the way they try and re-coup some of those fat "exclusive" checks.

Can't wait to see MSRP price hike on Matrix and Batman Begins, when those finally do see the Blu.

Warner is going to try to recoup some of those fat "exclusive" checks they received?

I'm cut in half real bad, Dewey! Must-buy for sure. Don't worry folks, it'll sell for the usual sale price when it comes out.

Spiderman 3 was 30$ at Frys when it came out. As a matter of fact, I was just there this morning and its still 30$. Studios can only milk people for so long before prices have to come down on movies.
