Default 'Dreamgirls' -- pre-release buzz

'Dreamgirls' on Blu-ray, and a first for DreamWorks?

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...Dreamgirls/485

Official confirmation should be coming soon...

"Given that DreamWorks is now owned by parent Paramount, which currently supports both HD DVD and Blu-ray, it is fair to assume that should the arrival of 'Dreamgirls' turn out to be true, a Blu-ray release would be imminent as well."

Default What kind of specs are these?

If these are the specs that Dreamworks is going to offer with its HD line up on Blu Ray Disc, they can keep 'em. Dreamgirls is going to use MPEG2 and AC-3@640KBps? Fine, let them be that way, but if they plan on releasing Saving Private Ryan, it better be in AVC/MPEG4 or VC-1 with PCM 5.1@24-Bit/48KHz. Period.

really? And why do you say that. Do you really think just because it will be Mpeg4 or VC-1 it will be better or are you just spitting that out because you hear its superior? Do you actually know what goes into making a transfer? Im assuming by this assumption, a V6 engine for example is by standard just faster then a Inline 4 for example (not V4 -_- ) because its newer and greater but you have actually no idea what goes into the process
