I watched this movie today and I found myself cheering for the main character (hilarious fellow) throughout the whole movie. All of it was very enjoyable except for the skydiving part...too outrageous for me.

This disc is an excellent Demo for both PQ and SQ (even more if you have acces to DTS HD MA) I got a BD30 + Denon 3808ci and the DTS HD MA is to die for!

Bummer than they never release a soundtrack with the actual song in them. But there's plenty of site with the names of the track so

Bought a PS3 today (so yes, im neutral now) and I'm happy with my purchase - I picked Shoot 'Em Up with the PS3 (mainly because I didn't want to just watch Emo-man 3) and also because I saw it in the theatre and thought it was totally bad-ass

Talking Are you kidding??

Are you kidding??
I have seen this movie three times since I purchased it and it has become my demo disc.
My favorite line: Do we all suck or is this guy that good?
I never saw it in the theaters. Only at home. Only in Hi Def.
My last viewing was with my brother behind duelling pizzas.
Good times!

This is one of the best blu-ray i've seen, and actually one of the most action-packed movie too. I totally love clive owen, he acts better than Daniel Craig IMO.
The only bad i felt is it could've added more scenes to make it longer. Felt a little disturbed by the naked scenes too. 4.5/5 from me!

Hey guys, I picked this disc up and popped it in hoping to experience this awesome 7.1 mix... only to find that for some reason it wasnt picking up 7.1, but the receiver was showing 5.1. Did not give me any extra sound options in the menu.. not sure where else to look.

I have a PS3, via HDMI. 7.1 works on the ps3 games fine, and it is set to PCM through the ps settings.. i have an onkyo s805 (on board dts-hd and dd-hd decoders) - and im guessing those arnt able to be used yet on the ps3.. but thats just for info for you guys.

Anyone know why this may happen?

clive owens in my top 5 favorite actors and when i heard and read about this last year i was like damn, i need to check this out. i never got around to seeing it in theatres and then i was anticipating the blu-ray release but for some reason forgot about it and dismissed it. last week my friend said he saw it and it was great and i would love it, he said better than crank. i was like better than crank????? so i bought it and watched it last night.

very entertaining and great blind buy although not quite as good as crank.

paul giamatti was the perfect choice for the role, i've always liked him as an actor, he can be funny, serious, and can easily mix those two together like he does in this film. clive owen was great, i hope to see him in some more movies...

my favorite quote was when paul giamatti said tell me a bedtime story, a good one. then big clive said "maybe later, when i put you to bed" hahaha yeeeeeee

the last scene where the movie ended with the gun shot made me smile, a great way for the movie to go out.

I actually bought this for the audio track but cant seem to get the Rear L Surround to work.

I have an Onkyo 705 handling the decoding to 6.1 channel Definitive Tech speakers.
The AVR reads DTS MSTR HD but the rear is silent.

Oh well..

Sure, the skydiving was a tad ridiculous, but by that part in the film I would have hoped that you'd suspended your disbelief entirely. :P

Just got done checking this one out. Fantastic AQ and PQ, demo quality!

What an unbelievable, silly, and fun flick. Not going to stimulate too many brain cells, but what a fun satire on action flicks.

I'll never look at a carrot the same way again, lol!
