Default 'Gattaca' -- pre-release buzz

At long last, Sony has rescheduled 'Gattaca'

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/gattaca.html

It's finally due on March 11, 2008.

Same specs as before, with 1080p/AVC video and PCM 5.1 audio.

Extras include deleted scenes, a featurette, still gallery and blooper reel.

Retail is $28.95.

I am so happy, this is one of my favorite movies of all time.

agreed, another Superbit down, makes me wonder where Leon, and MIB 1 and 2 are. I'll jump on this, love Gattaca, Jude Law rocks it, so long as they don't miff the transfer.

This is one of my top ten best films that I love. I'm sorry that some others didn't like it but I can't wait until this gem comes to Blu-ray. I even bought an LG BH200 just so I might see a movie of this caliber in Highdef.

This film really cheered me up. I've been a big fat guy all my life and this movie reminded me that it's okay to be who you are.

I was surprised that Danny DeVito had a hand in the making of this film.

Woohoo. This is a must buy! I feel a little better about buying a blu-ray player now.

Sony has plans to release many great catalog titles this year, including some classic Academy Award winning movies:
The Guns of Navarone (1961) - one Oscar
A Passage to India (1984) - two Oscars
Lawrence of Arabia (1962) - seven Oscars
The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) - seven Oscars

Also many other titles have been announced or rumoured. Even if you don't like these movies, you don't have to worry. Selection of movies is wide...

this is great news.

Gattaca was probably the best superbit movie released. It should make for a great HD release.

The list of blu-ray exclusives that I wish I could get on HD DVD is small, but this one definitely goes on the list. And since its Sony, I know it will be a LONG LONG time till I see it, no matter what happens in this war. Enjoy it, you are very lucky to have this one.

I thought it was a pretty good movie. I'll probably pick it up on sale. I hope we see The Professional soon.

There is no gene for the human spirit.

This is one of the best science-fiction films of the last twenty years and will continue to become more and more relevant in the coming twenty.
