Great artwork and great movie. A lot of people I know didn't like it because they felt that it was a very cold film. Whether they meant aesthetically I don't know, but I personally found it to be a very warm and uplifting experience. Then again, I prefer the Total Recall ending where Quaid's lobotomised...

What shitty extras. Not even a commentary. C'mon Sony get your act together. Anyway I tried to watch this film but Netflix sent me the damn full screen version. I was gonna buy this but they gimped out on the features so it'll be another rental. GJ Sony. Now that this release is on Blu-ray Netflix can't screw up and sent me another full screen version.

More I think about this, the more I think this will likely be my first blu-ray purchase. Won't have a player to play it on, but someday...

I didn't care for it the first time I watched it, however, it requires a deeper examination. The film is extremely layered, and it really grows on you.
I look at it now as a work of genius. It definitely isn't the type of film for a 13yr old(When I first saw it), but when looking at it at my now older age...it's just a beautiful film.
The lighting is remarkable, and the themes of the film really hold up. -

I believe I saw this when I was 17-18 years old. I liked it almost as much then as I do now. I can remember it came on PPV in the days when the "black box" could be used for analog cable to get every PPV and premium channel there was. I saw this several times that summer on PPV for free, and you have to really like a movie to watch it several times over one summer (or be really bored
).

I'm really hoping for a high video/audio rating, anything 4 stars and over will make this a sure thing for me.
