Default 'Bad Santa' - High-Def Digest review

Just in time for you-know-what, it's Kenneth's Blu-ray review of 'Bad Santa: The Unrated Version and Director's Cut.'

hmmm, I thought the video quality was quite a bit better for the Unrated version in comparison with the copy I previously had on SDVD.

They must read these messageboards since I asked why they weren't including the Director's Cut as well :P

Wow, I total disagree with this review, you really think "Balls of Fury" is a better movie than Bad Santa? Yikes.

Sort of -- while I recognize 'Bad Santa' is technically the better "film" of the two, I laughed a lot more during 'Balls of Fury' and didn't feel dirty afterwards.

Unfortunately, comedies are tough to grade because personal taste is so crucial to the experience. One man's 'Knocked Up' is another man's 'Norbit.'

Thanks for posting!

Would be nice to see a VQ rating for both.

Man, I really thought the Unrated version looked great. I guess I need to watch it again and watch the Director's Cut as well.

$14.99 right now at amazon, and at that price, if you like the movie, I'd consider this as pretty close to a no-brainer. Watched it twice over the holiday season, and really enjoyed the upgrade in transfer over my SDVD.

I don't know what the reviewer was halucinating on, but the quality of the director's cut is top-notch! It's so nice to see a movie without any grain; only if directors would get the message.
NO GRAIN!
