Default 'Blade Runner' - High-Def Digest review

All I can say is wow. Peter's mammoth reviews of 'Blade Runner: The Ultimate Collector's Edition' and 'The Complete Collector's Edition' are up, and both earn perfect scores across the board.

Both editions contain exactly the same content, but 'The Ultimate Edition' comes packaged in a cool Deckard Briefcase with some collectibles (you'll pay an additional thirty bucks for that).

Either way, Peter says you can't go wrong with these releases. Of course, you'll need to find it in stock somewhere...

Full reviews here:
Ultimate Collector's Edition
Complete Collector's Edition

Why do people keep getting this wrong?

The Blu-ray and HDDVD versions of the film *ONLY* exist in the 5 disc setup. You can still opt for the Ultimate edition which comes with other items, but the actual number of discs (and thus the content) is identical between the "Ultimate" edition on BD/HD and the "Collector's" edition on BD/HD.

The 2 and 4 disc versions are DVD only.

Just got mine at lunch and have to wait a few hours before I bury myself in BR. I already opened it though, and the packaging is pretty cool. The briefcase is very sturdy and the extras are neat. I'll have the unicorn on my desk now to remind me that I might not be human

Warner only sent out review copies of the Ultimate Edition, but their PR materials indicated that the 'Complete' Edition' was identical, minus the fifth disc. We've since confirmed that that was an error.

Just finished watching the Final Cut on BD and all I can say is that this truly is the best high def title of the year and the video is absolutely jaw-dropping! A true revelation. You've never seen Bladerunner before. It feels like a whole new experience.

I was lucky enough to catch a rare viewing of The Final Cut in a theater in Toronto and was quite impressed with the subtle changes that were made. I was most impressed with the clarity and vividness of the the PQ. I've had the BD Ultimate Edition pre-ordered on amazon for a while and cannot WAIT to view it on my new 1080p 46" Aquos

Default ERROR : The fifth disc is not the good !!!

In my BD edition of the complete, and in a friend's one too, the fifth disc is not the Workprint (even if it's printed as well on the disc), but the same that the first disc, the Final Cut.
Someone else?

Wow. 5's all around. Looks like I will be picking this up for Christmas.

I too want to see the pictures of the whole package.

$27 for a 5-disc set is pretty good. (on Amazon.com)
