Default 'The Simpsons Movie' - High-Def Digest review

Just posted Peter's review of 'The Simpsons Movie.' He says this Blu-ray disc likely to please any Simpsons fan, boasting a fantastic video transfer and a solid soundtrack. The only real disappointment is the seemingly cobbled-together supplements package, which he says screams "double dip."

Fox has done The Simpsons great justice, by giving it a HQ video encode. Still wont be buying this right away though. I have the DVD.

I really enjoyed it. Nice to see it Video got 5 Stars, I'm not surprised with the Audio score.

I can't wait to get it. My nieces/nephews now has something to watch during Christmas.

Was surprised to see a 5 star video in all honesty, but glad to hear. Haven't decided if I'll pick this one up or not. I saw it in theaters and it was better than I expected, but still nothing great to me.

If the 1080p trailer I downloaded from the Euro PS Store was any indication, this Blu-ray should be Homerriffic. XD

I'm definitely picking this one up. The preview of it on another BD showed me ALL I needed to see.

Same. My family and I went to see it and I must have laughed out loud 10 times!! Would not consider myself a fan of the show...but the movie was so funny from the start I was crying laughing. The voices do me in all the time.

Wow, a five star video transfer! I was contemplating picking this one up, going back and forth. After reading the review, I think that I will now. Hopefully, I like the movie itself (haven't seen it yet), as I know that my brother loves it.

It's going to be hard to double dip this, unless they reconstruct the movie and reanimate the cut scenes. From what I've heard, the stuff they left out wouldn't fit into a recut movie unless they went out of their way and just added brand new footage.

Well like someone else already said, I'm glad the PQ on this review was 5 stars, because IGN gave it a 6/10.

IGN is dumb sometimes though because they don't have a set rating scale. The reviewer said "The picture quality is excellent... but because it's The Simpsons and a cartoon, we're only giving it a 6"

Pretty stupid system if you ask me.

That's why High-Def Digest is THE place to go for reviews.

Double Dip right around the corner.. When the film was getting ready for its release i read an interview with some of the cast and they were saying their is almost 90 min of deleted scenes!!! I guess they recorded a commentary in character too... Fox is known for doing this, getting a movie out in time for Christmas...

This transfer sounds sick, but i am going to wait...
