That's weird. I thought it was on HD-DVD, since it was Paramount Vantage.

What country do you live in? Paramount Vantage holds theatrical rights in some countries (I can't say for sure which ones). In the United States, the rights are held by Miramax (thereby making this a Disney film), thus it is Blu-ray exclusive.

I'll pick up the HD DVD import when Paramount releases it overseas. Great film, but I can wait! It's theatrical release in the UK doesn't begin until late January, so maybe it will be released there on video this summer.

My Blu-ray player will be 1.1 & 2.0 compatible (not that it matters because there is nothing compelling about the features associated with PIP & web connectivity yet) The PS3 kinda film is any film in 1080p & lossless sound. I will definitely catch this asap though.

Great flick, was worried about the coen brothers after "the ladykillers" but their back and IMO have matched fargo, big lebowski and raising arizona.......
