Default '30 Days of Night' -- pre-release buzz

Sony has earmarked a February 19, 2008, debut for the vampire chiller '30 Days of Night':

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/30daysofnight.html

As this is an early retail announcement, the press release isn't yet in. However, the set is billed as a special edition, so should come with extras.

Retail for the Blu-ray is $38.95.

I'll rent it. I didn't get a chance to see it in the theater as other films held a higher priority.

Very poor reviews and word of mouth. Maybe a rental.

I really liked this movie. Went to see it with my lil sis and we both thought it was pretty good. Not as scary as I thought it would be but good enough. Will definitely pick this up.

Saw it in theaters... Would not recommend a buy, but maybe a rental. I liked the overall look of the film, but all things said, it was pretty mediocre.

This movie reminds me a lot of BattleField Earth, and I would rank that as the #1 worst movie I have ever watched.

There are to many holes in the plot, time advances to quick, the acting is borderline horrible, and the ending was laughable.

Stay far away from this mess, horrible horrible movie.

I have no idea what you guys are on about! I thought it was a fantastic refreshing vampire film which never let in to any of the previous stereotypes attached to the genre.

100% buying and i recommend it to everyone.

Definitely recommend this movie......
the director, David Slade, is a director that definitely appeals to a more hardcore audience, much like his previous movie Hard Candy he creates scenerio with no happy endings...... which does not serve a mainstream audience whatsoever.......
Granted its not a perfect movie......
it wil divide a lot of movie lovers to a love\hate relationship, much like 28 Days Later did.......
I for one loved it, flaws and all and this blu ray is gonna rock the cinematography was awesome!!!

Agree 100%
Glad to see someone apreciated a different aproach to tired out genre!!!
Everybody has their own opinion, but this movie is a refreshing kick ass movie that in my opinion breathes life into the genre,
like 28 days later did for zombie movies,
like the sixth sense did for thrillers,
Like Casino Royale did for the bond series,
For lovers of movies like xmen3, rush hour, the "pirates" sequals, Hitman and War......... this movie is not for you

It isn't that good. The trailers hyped it up to be something amazing. I was waiting for it to end around half way through the movie. The time table used in the movie is retarded and the ending is so ridiculous that it ruins the movie. Rent if you must, but don't blind buy unless you just want to spend money on something that is Blu.
