This was actually better than I expected but still not as good as the original Saw or Saw III.

Im just waiting for some kind of a boxset so I can get all 4 for a lower price.

Saw this on Movie6...the series has lost its touch..Didnt even have a good amount of sick traps.

Defiantly better than Saw III IMHO. I really love this one and I was hopping to release all of them in box set or something. Until now, there is a possibility for double dip Saw and Saw III with DC so I really don't know if I should buy them all separately or wait for maybe year or two and buy the ultimate set

May look into this one. Never saw it in theaters. Heard mixed reviews for it. I liked the first one..dont remember the second...never heard of the third.

I heard this was better then III. It will probably be a rental for me.

It is not better than part III or the first two but it is only slightly inferior or less worthy than any of the films of the original trilogy - it's still really entertaining. The second sequence that opens the movie is especially crazy/awesome.

The only thing that drags it down IMO, is the fact that the story and staging of the traps this time seem just a little too out there and are unecessarily complex to the point they strain believability. Also that the movie answers only a handful of questions left from the original trilogy - while asking a crapload more. Plus it doesn't seem to fit as well with the first three films.

However, it is worthy. The extra depth into the origins of Jigsaw and some of the strong performances of the relatively unknown actors really make it all compelling - and make you willing to suspend your disbelief.

I'll probably buy it day and date - however, I hope they re-release part 1 on BD as an unrated SE too. The current BD of part 1 is bare bones BS.

sick traps ? I really dont care about the traps, all I care is the story, and the story was okay,

the traps are fun, but the story and the twists are the main reason I love Saw

i completley agree with you, as long as the traps are fun, idc, i do love the saw series even though i hate hostel and all the other shitass torture porn films, i love it because of the story and all of the twists and turns.

saw III's my favorite, idk why everyone thinks it sucks, i think it was the best twist with amanda and jeff and lynn and all that, with a good ending, i loved how (SSPPOOIILLEERR) saw IV happend right on top of saw III

ye, my favorite is Saw (1) then I like all the rest (2,3,4) equally, but I had to chose the 2nd favorite, it would be Saw III (i also though the twists were good)

and Hostel 1 was okay imo, but Hostel 2 was just horrible!! I hope they dont make Hostel 3

Lions Gate Home Entertainment has officially announced Saw IV which stars Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson, and Betsy Russell. The Darren Lynn Bousman directed horror will be available to in seperate rated (95 minutes) and unrated (98 minutes) editions from the 22nd January. Each will retail at around $29.95. A Blu-ray edition will also be available for $39.99. Each will include an audio commentary with Producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg and Executive Producers Peter Block and Jason Constantine, a second commentary with Director Darren Lynn Boussman and Actor Lyriq Bent, Darren's Video Diary, featurettes on the traps and props of the film, a SAW IV Music Video by "X-Japan", and a bonus deleted scene.
