Default 'The Hills Have Eyes 2' - High-Def Digest review

Peter's review of 'The Hills Have Eyes 2' is up. Although he hated the film itself (giving it his lowest movie rating since the 'Black Christmas' HD DVD), he says this Blu-ray delivers on the bottom line with a pair of four-star scores for video and audio.

Thought the Aja remake was very well done with the story revolving around the tight-knit family. You really find yourself rooting for them in the first one. The sequel, on the other hand, throws a bunch of listless soldiers (who are virtually all unlikable) into the story, and expects us to care. Stay far away from this one, and watch the first one again.

I don't understand how he did not like the 2006 version. It is far superior to the original Craven.

But Black XMas had some good looking chicks in it.

This is up there with one of the worst horrors ever made and its in my top 2 worst movies of the year along with Wrong Turn 2 which was also tragic.

0.5 outta 5 seems reasonable, but shouldn't 28 Weeks Later also get a 0.5? 28 Weeks Later has got to be one of the absolute worst horror movies I have ever witnesed, with a group of the dumbest characters I've seen in a motion picture. I'd rather have a no character development story like The Hills Have Eyes 2 rather than brain-dead characters in 28 Weeks Later. Two very, very awful movies.

I have to say that I enjoyed Black Christmas (2006) a lot. I thought Glen Morgan did a fantastic job of making a nice, fun remake. My grade: 4 outta 5.

Wrong Turn 2 was a masterpiece compared to this abomination.

Yep, this movie was terrible. Honestly, though? Still not quite as bad as the Aja remake. That was obnoxiously pretentious in addition to being a monumentally shitty horror movie; this one at least doesn't try to pretend it's anything but junk.

I've got the Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42" 1080p LCD. I know you may have heard bad things about it, but I've got to tell you: Never buy the Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42" 1080p LCD.

I'm going to say, ti's probably because this movie is terrible. Just...awful.

And I really liked the first movie. This is one of my blind buy Blu-rays that I quickly flipped (but it was BOGO fortunately).
