Peter's review of 'The Tailor of Panama' is up. He liked the lead performances (Pierce Brosnan and Geoffrey Rush), but found the film itself unsure of what it wanted to be. Technically speaking, he found picture quality inconsistent, and audio a bit flat.

This was an okay movie. It's worth seeing for Brosnan's performance. It's really the first time he got to play an un-Bond character. He went on to deliver an even better performance in 'The Matador', which I'd highly recommend to anyone to check out on HD DVD. A first-rate movie & HD DVD.

Agreed. This was an OK movie. Brosnan was definitely better in "The Matador". This is also on a BD50, not a BD25.

Very disappointing. I think this is a good spy thriller (non action). Think Ill try and rent it before I decide to buy it. Since the reviewer makes it sound horrible.

The transfer picture on this movie is HORRIBLE! 1.5/5.0 stars. You might as well watch a DVD, the picture is basically just up-scaled and re-encoded.
1.5 out of 5.0 stars. |
