Default Resident Evil Trilogy - pre-release buzz

(Street Date Update!)

Sony is bringing the original 'Resident Evil,' plus 'Extinction' to Blu-ray on January 2:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/resi...xtinction.html

This studio is also releasing the 'Resident Evil Trilogy,' a box set featuring all three films in the franchise (including the previously-released 'Apocalypse') that same day:

No specs yet, but stay tuned...

This is why I personally see no reason whatsoever to import movies if you own both formats. Have some patience, you KNOW that everything will be released from the major studios at some point. I haven't even imported Mulholland Drive from France and I use it for my avatar!

I'm from Switzerland, and that's right that we have HD DVDs here in europe wich you all maybe are missing in the USA (for example Fantastic Four 2 or all Resident Evil films)
And as I know, all HD DVD are region-free

The series that keeps getting worse and worse...I think I'd wait till they actually stop making films to get a box set. It's apparent that they're going to do another one given the ending of RE3.

Assuming the COLLECTED set will be an HD DVD import, why buy it? Buy a BD player if you really want the damn movies. Much less hassle. As for these, I'll pass.

is it just me or is that price point weird. 40 for the third movie and 60 for the whole collection? I'm just saying who would do that? its like 10 per BRD, sony's price point confused me.
