I have been anxiously following this Tartan release for some time. Originally it was slated for release sometime in July or August I believe. Anyway, looks like it's now scheduled for 12/3. No official specs have come out apparently, but the cover art is up at dvdtimes. Also, have yet to determine if this is a US release or not. It's all been rather confusing. Bottem line though is that this total world cinema classic considered one of the 50 greatest movies ever made anywhere IS definitely on the way

That movie kicks ass. And yeah, it is creepy although it has more humor in it than you might expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the humor.

Looks like this is still on for dec 3 release!! It's been up at Amazon.uk and is showing that it is all-region. so hopefully this is right. Looks like it is time to order this!!

I can't find it (or the DVD version) in stock anywhere. It's supposed to be a 50th anniversary edition, the numpties.

Also: here's what the cover looks like. It ended up a bit different that what I had seen earlier. Also, it says "region 1", but I do not believe that is accurate.

There are many exclusives released overseas. It will probably get a NA release at some point for sure.

I received an email from Amazon in the early hours of this morning, apologising for the delay and saying:

Estimated arrival date: 16/12/07 - 24/12/07

It would be nice to hear from Tartan as to just what has been going on with this.
