Default 'Edward Scissorhands' - High-Def Digest review

Just posted Kenneth's review of 'Edward Scissorhands.' A solid catalog release, Kenneth says this Blu-ray edition features a nice DTS-HD MA track and a noticeable upgrade in picture quality that's only hindered by some consistent image jitter carried over from earlier DVD editions.

I havent watched Edward Scissorhands in a while but have watched Beetlejuice recently. What I noticed with a bigger screen and higher resolution is there are alot of shots that weave in and out of focus. It happens alot in the begining where there are wide shots of the trees and buildings. The only thing these two films have in common are Tim Burton. From what I have seen of all of Tim Burtons films, they have great picture quality. I have been wondering if the in and out of focus shots on Beetlejuice would be corrected with a HD upgrade. After reading this review I very well my be disapointed in Beetlejuices upgrade.

have been looking forward to this very much, and it sounds pretty good. I agree though, Fox's prices have GOT to come down. They are ridiculous. Maybe I can get this at the next bd BOGO sale.

I should be receiving this today. That review was not disappointing at all and actually makes me feel a bit better about plunking down the cash.

I was looking forward to picking this one up, but I couldn't find it in any stores around me.

I was kind of hoping that the PQ would be outstanding though, because the price on this one is a bit steep. I'll probably just wait for one of the sales on this one too.

I was looking forward to it, but holy crap Fox! Take a cue from Warner and start releasing catalog titles at more reasonable prices.

I am interested in it, but will not buy it/rent it unless I know it will play in my BH 100 LG model as others from Fox lately seem to not work in the LG.

Anyone already try it in LG?

Is image jitter the same thing I saw on the disc Wild Things? Where faces and places seemed to minutely shake?

I didn't notice jitter on my Samsung 46" LNT-4665F (with PS3). Then again, I only read this review after watching the movie last night.

It's not a perfect movie, but it does bring a tear to the eye!

Finished watching this movie. I did not see any jitter problems on this disc. Never owned or seen this movie before. My daughter and I enjoyed immensely.

Hey all -- we've had a few people mention they didn't notice the jitter and some others who have. Likewise, some sites have noticed the problem (www.dvdfile.com) and others have not.

If you don't see it, consider yourself lucky! For my part, I'm glad to hear it's an issue that doesn't bother everyone. Thanks as always for posting.
