Default 'Terminator 3' -- pre-release buzz

Picture-in-picture is finally coming to Blu-ray!

Warner has confirmed a December 4 arrival for 'Terminator 3':

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/terminator3.html

All the specs and extras are identical to the previous HD DVD release, including a first-ever, true PIP track on the Blu-ray. Of course, whether or not it will actually work in any players remains a question mark.

Retail is $28.99.

About time Warner started releasing the HD only movies on Blu. I'm not a huge fan of T3, but I might buy it just to have it. Still waiting on the Matrix trilogy release date...

No HD audio = no purchase from me.

Sorry, but HD audio is half the reason to own high-def movies in the first place.

Geez this movie was bad.

I hope this means Warner is going to catch up on their titles.

If I didn't own the HD DVD version I would get it... Great picture quality and sound, even with just DD+...

I just wished we'd get a re-mastered re-release of T2 (or better, of the Extreme DVD version).

I never cared for T3 and won't be double dipping on this BD release. I've got the DVD already which is good enough for me.

I agree!

This movie was pretty bad, the acting was horrible.

This movie was one of the biggest dissapointments EVER imo. I hear now that the "new" movie will be set during the "war of the machines." That's what everybody was expecting for THIS movie. Total rehash of T2 and not nearly as good. And don't get me started on Claire friggin' Daines. A total waste on either format.

it's about time bd got some interactivity... i already have t3, as do i have the matrix, v for vendetta, charlie and the chocolate factory... and then some... so this story doesn't affect me too much... now if only fox could get on the ball then we can have every movie on hdm doing good things to movies.

Good news! I've been waiting for this a while now. I would have happily traded in all these fabulous extras for lossless audio besides not having to wait. But apparently a decent presentation of the movie with decent audio is not half as important as the IME.

But it is as it is: It is a Warner movie and it is Warner's decision how they wish to bring it to market. We as customers can only love it or leave it, and as I want the movie enough to buy it I have to live with what Warner gives us. It will still be an improvement over the standard definition DVD, I hope.
