Default 'Pan's Labyrinth' -- pre-release buzz

New Line has finally confirmed 'Pan's Labyrinth' for Blu-ray release on December 26:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/panslabyrinth.html

The release looks absolutely packed with extras, all retained from the two-disc DVD. There will also be a picture-in-picture commentary exclusive to the high-def versions.

Specs include 1080p video and DTS-HD 7.1 Surround mix, which should be fantastic to hear.

Retail is $35.99.

Pans Labyrinth was just so disturbing on so many levels...I was caught quite off guard, especially at the end. I wasn't really sure if I liked it or not, I was just ambivalent.

I feel the same damn way. Not sure if I could watch it more than one time. Great news about its release though, as many people have been wanting this one!

Sweet I will definitely be getting this on Blu since the PS3 is faster. I might rent the HD version to see which one looks better though. This is such exciting news!!

Great now I can delete my recording from the premium channel. I hadn't watched it yet so now I don't need to worry about it. I'll have to add it to my HD DVD order list.

This movie was pretty stunning..literally. It started off feeling like it would be a touched-up "semi-gritty" fairy tale story made for the late teen-age crowd...then the captain went to town on those hunters with the bottle and it was pretty obvious how the rest of it was going to go down from there.

I thought it was a great movie..but I can understand how some people would be too shocked to watch it again. I personally loved that tune they have on the soundtrack of the girl humming the main theme...way haunting. I fell asleep next to my laptop on the promo website with that looping for seven hours...I think it affected me

This is one of those films I wish I hadn’t bought on DVD and had waited for on Blu-ray. Oh, well...the 2-Disc New Line Platinum Series set is pretty packed...

Whose genius idea was it to release this movie the day AFTER Christmas?

Meh...I guess I should be happy this excellent movie is going Blu at all, right?
