'Godzilla (1998)' -- pre-release buzz

In a bit of a surprise early announcement, Sony has set a March 28 street date for 'Godzilla':

Reactions to the film were mixed, but it should make good demo material.

Specs include the usual 1080p video and PCM 5.1 audio.

Extras on this "Monster Edition" boast a new featurette, Godzilla fight scenes montage and a music video. There may be more TBA.

No retail price yet, but more details should emerge over the coming weeks.

I thought this movie lived up to the hype. That being the hype that the movie was terrible.

Gonna have to skip this one.

I never understood how they could market this as a godzilla movie when really the monster was more like a jurassic park escapee .
I enjoyed Jean Reno's part in it though.
Godzilla hiding in sewers? I don't think so.

This movie is released in Australia 11/14. I really liked this one. Preordered already.

Sony titles in Australia are region free. Pick it up 4 months earlier !!

wow this movie sucked so hard yea i can see maybe 10 of these being sold , what of a waste of blu-ray disk

Quite possibly one of the worst movies I've ever seen for the money spent. I'd much rather watch one of the campy Japaneese movies from the 1950's than this film, at least some of the music was quite for the movies and really helped to get you into the films even if the acting or the stop motion photography was bad.

How about Lawrence of Arabia instead? Sony's been advertising that for over a year.
