Default 'A Few Good Men' - High-Def Digest review

Peter's review of 'A Few Good Men' is up. He's a big fan of the film itself, and says this Blu-ray is a winner too, offering an "outstanding" video transfer, a solid soundtrack and all of the supplements from the previously-released Special Edition DVD.

Hmmmm... Yet ANOTHER top tier catalog transfer for Blu-Ray. Universal just makes it easy for me!

Another good release! I've never seen this movie, but it looks like it'll be worth owning!

That still didn't prevent it from getting 4 1/2 stars for video. And from what it sounds like, if it weren't for issues w/ the source itself, it would have recieved a full 5 stars.

Still, this MPEG-2 encode has beat the pants off of 2 star quality VC-1 encoded Universal catalogues.

Totally agree. Love this film, it is fantastic.

So many stars--Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, Keifer Sutherland, etc.

Isn't MPEG2 quite a waste of resources? I don't doubt that the PQ is great, but there are now a couple of movies that have a similar PQ rating and use VC-1. It's always the question how well they encode it and hopefully not rush things.
