Default 'Deliverance' - High-Def Digest review

Peter's review of 'Deliverance' is up. He says this Blu-ray release is quite good, offering up a remastered transfer that's about as good as the source could allow, while the newly-produced documentary and commentary are both first-rate.

I was waiting for your review to see if an upgrade was in order, looks like it is, thanks.

If this sells well, how long do we have to wait for a Blu-Ray version of ZARDOZ? I need to see every fold in Connery's orange diaper.

Hey Peter. I really like your reviews. But could you keep your Liberal Left views to yourself? "The river that these four men will attempt to tame -- the one that is soon to be lost to the capitalist urges of the culture -- serves as the" As if Capitalism is the root of all evil. Capitalism is what made this country great. Of course its not perfect but Socialism ( As history has proven ) NEVER works. Thanks for your time.

In Peter's review he stated "The original film was presented in mono only". In the select major markets Warner Bros. released the film in a blow-up 70MM and 6-Track Stereo sound (format 40 on the Dolby CP-200 processor).

I'm pretty sure all of Warner's releases have been region free thus far.

Thumbs up Georgia on My Mind

The Movie: *****
A true American classic and one of the best films of the seventies. Harsh and unsparing in its portrayal of human nature.

The Video: ****
The hi-def transfer is not pristine but it does justice to Vilmos Zsigmond's lush, almost psychedelic cinematography.

The Audio: ****
Comes out clear and realistic, adding pop to the white water rapids scenes. Dueling banjos sound great.

Overall: *****
Highly recommended.

You need to study history a little more closely. You're speaking in absolutes and life on earth just doesn't work that way.
