'Face/Off' - pre-release buzz

Paramount has bumped 'Face/Off' for a second time -- It's now scheded to hit Blu-ray (and HD DVD) on Oct. 30.

October 30 is a busy day for BD releases.

Not only it got bumped but it's not going to have a uncompressed LPCM track. The Japan release got an uncompressed LPCM track but the US release doesn't.

And from the people that have imported it from Japan they're saying it's the best uncompressed soundtrack they've heard.

I can't decide whether to import it for the uncompressed track or just buy the Dolby Digital track released in the states. From what I've heard the import from Japan would be over $40.

Steep price to pay for what should have been included in the 1st place.

here it still says the audio is TBA if you have a link showing that it is only DD core 5.1 then i would like to see it, it would really suck if thats true, maybe the delay has something to do with adding uPCM

this is starting with Blades of Glory so this should still be on BD
but either way its still terrible news no transformers for me

But if Blades of Glory releases next week and this doesn't release until October then doesn't this discount this being on Blu-ray?

I think Face/Off maybe the last Paramount movie to be on Blu-Ray....

Don't want to appear as a troll (by way of my signature) but I don't think this will make it to Blu-Ray since Blades of Glory comes out first.

yeah i noticed it came out after blades of glory after posting that
but seriously what about all the special features are they just not releasing them or are they going to make it a 3 HD DVD release?
either way im disappointed because i really wanted this movie

According to today's news, Face/Off is a two-disc exclusive to HD DVD, possibly in TrueHD according to earlier reports of Paramount using lossless audio.
