Thumbs up 'Courage Under Fire' -- High-Def Digest review

Checked out 'Courage Under Fire' tonight:

Never seen the film, and I liked it. Interesting, and asked challenging questions. Good Blu-ray disc, too. Slim extras, and the dialogue is a bit quiet, but the transfer really looks mighty fine for a film a decade old. Worth a look.

I watched Courage Under Fire last weekend. The transfer and sound is quite good. It is actually one of the better titles out there on BD. Very good film also.

This movie is about numned viewers... She was a war criminal and was bieng considered for the CMoH. This was definataly conflicting interests for the investigating officer who had his own problems besides the political correctness that was being pushed on him to overlook her continued taking a gunman with her on her medical "Red Cross" marked helicopter.

Had to bump this one!

I finally got to see the BD yesterday and wanted to leave a few impressions.

First of all good to see this film again. Denzel and director Ed Zwick again work their magic as seen in films like GLORY and THE SIEGE. I loved the concept of the conflicted soldier searching to identify the truth in Meg Ryan's character's case and his own case. Great character study.

While the video is not of stellar quality, it was decent. I'm sure it could have looked better if more had been put into it but as one of FOX's early titles, that's to be expected.

Audio was pretty dang good!! It definitely had lots of presence on the scenes that called for it. I won't say it has the highest resolution. Fine detail was missing but overall a good track.

I am also a fan...one of the more under-rated titles for sure...
