There are many subtleties within this movie that seems to be lost on E. it's not an ingenious movie but 2 out of 5? You're expecting Citizen Kane?

I loved this movie when I watched it in the theater. Cool cast and all did a solid job.

This was one of my friend's second favorite movie of the year, so I doubt it is as bad as this review says.

There is nothing subtle or nuanced about this movie. In spite of being entertained enough to watch until the end, making it a serviceable crime thriller, it is far too predictable and routine. Enjoy it all you want, but seeing the end coming 30 minutes in while lacking in suspense also makes for an unsatisfying watch to me.

I had a friend that also enjoyed it quite a bit. After watching it last night I thought it was really good as well. As mentioned, it wasn't the best movie but it was totally predictable after just a few minutes. I'm not sure if this was intended to be a franchise or not, but I wouldn't mind seeing more of Mr. Wolff's adventures.

I blind bought this yesterday, it sounds like my type of movie. I don't have an Ultra HD Blu-Ray player, or 4K display, but I saw that the UHD combo of this was on sale for the same price as the Blu-Ray combo (at Target). So now I have a 4k disc for the future.

Maybe it was Josh - but I recall reading someone saying it was Affleck wishing he was Bourne. But that's not a bad thing really. The rating of 2/5 though, having not seen it yet might sound pretty accurate if you factor in that there are no new ideas and this is Jason Bourne played by Affleck. But as a fuck it, let's just sit down and watch an action movie, it's probably pretty good.

There is a lot of absolute trash out there that we all love and adore, and we could not care less about the Academy Awards. But when a movie is analyzed by any reviewer, they have to factor in the actual 'quality' of the movie.

^^ I read it described as 'Rain Man' meets 'John Wick', which is what sold me.

To me the movie is a 3.5. Especially when compared to the 4000+ movies in my collection.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is based on a Philip K Dick story, right?

    That was interesting.

I watched this last night, and I'm glad I bought it, but it surprised me.

While something like 'John Wick' was a revenge/assassin movie, this was a feel-good/assassin movie. Instead of feeling satisfying vengeance, as in most movies like this, I felt warm and fuzzy for the characters.

The story, as in, the conflict was nothing too special. It didn't have that visceral drive like other vengeance movies, but it worked with the main character. I did very much like the story line related to his upbringing and his family.

As a movie about autism, it's one of my favorites. Top 5. But not I my Top 5 vengeance movies.
