Peter's review of the classic IMAX flick 'Blue Planet' is up. He says Warner has put together a very nice offering for this Blu-ray. The video is excellent, and the audio -- though limited by the source material -- delivers some fine moments. And although it's the only extra in the package, the inclusion of a whole other IMAX feature 'The Dream is Alive' is quite the bonus. High-def fans, your IMAX eye candy has arrived...

Thoroughly disagree with this review, to the point that at best it warrants 3 stars for video. I read the review, went out last nite and got it in anticipation that this would look fantastic. Literally every scene in Blue Planet has specks, and not once was I wowed, unlike POTC or even Planet Earth.
Not really worth the $25 IMHO, rental at best and not something I would use as a showcase for hi-def. ![]() |
