Default 'Starship Troopers' -- pre-release buzz

Yet another new announcement from Sony (who are really cranking 'em out for Q4):

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/starshiptroopers.html

It's due October 16, along with another Paul Verhoeven title, 'Hollow Man.' No specs yet, but stay tuned...

This will most likely be the first Blu-Ray I'll have bought outside of the six free blu-rays I'm getting with my PS3.

On the fence about this one. I will wait and see what Pete thinks of it.

I regret ever watching it. It's that bad.

Yeah, I think this movie would be a perfect use of the HDI (or whatever that feature is called on HD DVD discs) functionality. When the narrator asks "Would you like to know more?" You could click an icon or something to get some background information, etc.

I just hope the Pic and Auduio quality are up to scratch. The Patriot DC was very nice indeed but got Final Fantasy this morning and the video quality is weak. Very soft Pic quality... :-/

I couldn't get through more than 20 mintues of it, and I tryed hard too. It is by far the worst thing I've ever seen, nothing to laugh about. None of the same actors either just to let ya know.

I loved this movie, and will definitely check it out on Blu-ray.

Never bothered with the sequel though.

you should see the Bond movies making their way to blu-ray next year

I love the Connery ones but I also love the Roger Moore movies, especially Moonraker, Live and Let Die, For Your Eyes Only and View to a Kill.

TD's Licence to Kill is also brill.

Mine has just been shipped from sendit.
Got a release date of the 6th here in the UK so looks like i might get it a little ahead of time.
Will review it as soon as it gets here and will post my views in enoize's tier thread.
Again this is the Region B version but i doubt if there is any differance to the Region A version
