Default Lost Season 3 - Dec 11

Looks like 'Lost' has a release date, at least according to amazon:

Because it's been proven that day and date sell much better than catalog titles.

I can see how that's true for standalone movies, but for TV shows as well? I won't buy season 3 before I buy season 1, but maybe that's just me. Who's with me? Who's bloody with me???!

I'm bloody with you. I have all 3 seasons of Lost on my computer and don't really feel the need to buy them on disc at all but the collector in me wants to own them although if they come out with the last season on blu-ray then I would want the first 2 seasons as well.

Dang so i thought it was bad when BDs cost $10 more than standard dvds. Now this costs a full $65 more on a $60 item. Thats only a premium of 109%. They should start marking up the price on regular movies to catch up.

Yes, the pricing is definitely odd since a show like Weeds costs the same for both the DVD and BR versions!

Not only that, but Weeds only costs $20 for season 1 and $28 for season 2.

I would much rather have Desperate Housewives on blu-ray. I am so sick of Lost, and the cover will probably have the ugly swoosh.

Well for the crappy excuse for hd, I'm glad they aren't more expensive.

Unless the price goes WAY down, the DVD is good enough quality. As much as I see a major difference in PQ and AQ between DVD and BD, pricing still plays a part in what I buy

On the one hand I understand starting perhaps day and date with Hi-def release next to SD version but I really prefer to collect from the beginning. For example I own Lost Season 1 and 2 on dvd and Season 3 through itunes so... was considering perhaps skipping dvd of season 3 however if they started again with blu or hd-dvd seasons of Lost with PQ and SQ upgrades I might be tempted. I am like how many people on these forums a collector of sorts and like to have complete collections in the same format.

I thought Lost would spring up again, yay! I just hope it's not coded region A! Oh no, I'd toally have to pay a hefty customs charge to import this one
