This movie always cracked me up, especially the scene with the shadow hand puppets.
Thanks for the review. I also have been a fan of this ridiculous movie all these years. But I had no idea a sequel has been in the works! I cannot wait!
EDIT: It looks like the sequel was announced a while back and keeps getting pushed back. I hope it does happen.Did the primary buffer panel just fall off my gorram ship for no apparent reason?! -

Fill me in on how it makes sense to give this garbage a higher review than Jeepers Creepers.

This movie is awesome. It arrived the other day but I have not watched it yet. I'm a bit disappointed with the video and audio, but oh well!

while i share the opinion that Jeepers Creepers is much better, this is still the OPINION of one person and not some rock solid fact. so yes, this reviewer liked it better but who cares...their job is to share their opinion. can't complain just because they like something you did not or vice versa...thats sorta silly.
anyway i've never owned this movie but the blu-ray is sooo cheap i'm definitely picking this up. gotta keep growing my "classic cheesy 80s movies" collection. :P -

She is seriously trolling, you guys. Not one of her comments hasn't been negative and/or wacky.

You know what I hate? Look at that cover art. A trend I've noticed is for an older title to be released with a cover that looks like some newer, lamer, straight-to-video flick.

Really? I kinda like it. Not as much as the original artwork, but still, it's alright.

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash.
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

After watching this during what I remember to be weekly showings on HBO in the mid 90's while on summer vacation I never had the desire to purchase this film, however being much older now and having not seen it for nearly 15 years I jumped at the chance to buy this on Blu ray and purchased it on day one. I made my wife watch it with me last weekend (she had never seen it) and even she found it to be highly entertaining. It's not a "smart" film... It's not particularly scary unless you're >9y/o. However it's just such an enjoyable goofy film that how can you not enjoy it. Even with the lack of any true gore or scares the film exudes SOOOO much more substance then a film like Jeepers Creepers. How can you not like this film. It never tries to be something it isn't, and it doesn't take itself too seriously, unlike the aforementioned example.
Killer Klowns... works because it's just wacky fun. Jeepers Creepers failed because it took itself too seriously, and under-delivered on what was meant to be a horror film. Killer Klowns was nothing more then a goofy Horror comedy, and it was designed as such. Because of that it is a SUPREMELY superior product.
And as a footnote: What kind of Horror fan really finds Jeepers Creepers to be a good film anyways? Is it terrible? No, but it certainly is far FAR away from the good Horror offerings the genre can offer up. My guess is that a Fan of Jeepers Creepers was born around 1992, has little to no knowledge of Horror films from the 80s or 70's beyond the Big 4... (Freddy, Jason, PinHead, Leatherface) and cites examples such as The Grudge and The Ring as being great horror films.

It's been years since I've seen the film, but I was actually over at the Chiodo Brother's workshop a couple of years ago and the Klowns were right there on display. Pretty neat.
