Default 'Korn: The Path of Totality Tour - Live at the Hollywood Palladium' - HDD Review

We've just reviewed 'Korn: The Path of Totality Tour - Live at the Hollywood Palladium.' This Blu-ray gives fans of Korn a great live performance, as well as a good inside-look at the bands' thoughts and views on their music and their tour. Non-fans probably won't be
interested, but if you like the band, you're gonna want this release.

Implying that they're both mutually exclusive. Look, even though I dislike Korn as well, even I can see that they made some good songs.

Pretty ignorant statement there buddy. Korn were pioneers in their style of GOOD music, they created an entire sub-genre of music within hard rock/metal. There have been a lot of lesser bands that copied their sound and style. And, they're not afraid to experiment with new styles of music....in this case dubstep/electronic.

Don't short change them just because you don't like them. They're insanely better musicians than anything on the radio today.

Based on your limited mentality, I'm guessing that you're a Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West fan. Now there's some real "musicians" right there. Have fun with that.

Korn pioneered a sub-genre, not good music. New Kids On The Block pioneered boy bands. A fan of them, too? Afterall, they are "pioneers"!!! Everything in music is copied no matter how bad it may be. Experimenting with current (horrible) trends in music does make them good. True, radio sucks and I don't listen to radio but to say they are "insanely better musicians than anything on the radio today" is a bit overdramatic. Last time I checked, the members of Korn aren't exactly highly regarded musicians. Terry Bozzio is, and he did it for the easy paycheck. No, I don't listen to the examples you listed, but I'm pretty sure Korn do considering all of the "hip-hop" influence they like to add to their "music". If any of those artists you listed wanted to work with or be a guest on a Korn album, it would happen because Korn is all about gimmicks and money. The 90's are gone, and so is most of Korns fanbase. Korn, Limp Bizkit, and ICP fans are all the same. Have fun at the next Gathering, Juggalo.

It never ceases to amaze me how the people who make such ignorant statements about Korn's music always somehow come up with the same tired, cliche', uninformed comments. The pomposity and megalomania of your words reveal just how fallacious your reasoning is. Korn and Deftones ushered in what became "nu-metal." Just because all of those other horrid rap-rock bands jumped on the bandwagon and refined it, thereby bastardizing and ruining it, doesn't mean that the former two are of less quality. Korn were and still are very innovative and unique. The assertion most people make about musicianship is that simplicity is somehow inferior. The quality of a band's musical composition has nothing to do with simplicity or complexity. They have experimented with a variety of styles, using various recording techniques, etc. I also love the generalizations people make about Jonathan Davis' lyrics. He sings about a topic in one single song written 20 years ago and people say he "always" sings about it. Remarkable. Limp Bizkit and ICP couldn't be further removed from Korn or their fan base. You'd know that if you actually talked to real Korn fans.

It never ceases to amaze me that Korn still has fans, and that they keep trying to defend their music. It may be tired, and cliche' but those are well informed facts. The fact that they jumped on the dubsteb bandwagon speaks volumes about their integrity. They are doing anything they can to try and remain relevant. Let me guess "Skrillex" is awesome too, right? "The pomposity and megalomania of your words reveal just how fallacious your reasoning is"......those are big words coming from a fan of such intelligent lyrics such as "you can suck my fucking dick and like it" "all day I dream about fuuuuuuckiiiiiiiiing" and this this timeless classic for generations to enjoy "Fuck you titty suckin' two balled bitch with a fat green lip My dick conhotoe bitch oh shit fucking ass licking piss sucking cunt These nuts on your lips Kentucky fried kung-pao clits". And here I thought it was Jon Davis' job to cry on albums, instead of his fans on blu-ray forums. Keep it "real", Munky.
