Grreat, great movie but the disc is a let down for two reasons. I wonder what equipment was used by the reviewer (he's not listed in the gear section) because the PQ was a 3 at best. I also saw this in theaters and while the lack of detail on this disc is on par with the theatrical presentation, there are most definitely compression artifacts. Plus Sony chose to go with dubtitles rather than the original and much more accurate subtitles. Disappointing for sure, but still worth owning.

Blind bought this on Tuesday. Glad I did. Incredible movie. I know this is cliche, but Iko Uwais could very well be the next greatest Asian action star, not only because of his moves, but he's also a decent actor, which couldn't be said for many martial arts actors. The fight scenes are some of the best I've ever seen.

Got to watch my disc, but us Canadians got some good and bad with the release. The good thing is that we got the original art work for the release. The bad is that we only got the one DTS-HDMA track and i don't know which track we got, and no commentary track

They actually dubbed this movie, as well? There's an English track? Ack, what a travesty! I hope nobody watches that. Anyway, excellent movie all around. Well worth the watch! Blind buying won't hurt you (just your wallet).

Can you tell me exactly where you saw artifacts? I want to go back and check it out because I didn't notice a single one while reviewing the disc. I'm not saying that you're wrong, I just want to have another look.
And here's my set-up:
