Meh, it is pretty much just random scenes thrown together from the manga since they are trying to cover 13 volumes in 3 hour long movies.

It's not that random. Its a more streamlined telling of the tale. It does cut out alot of the character development, which is a negative. But, it does keep a really big moment and its handled better than the manga.
Anyway, its a good starting point. But it doesnt replace the original manga or anime.
