I can't wait to see how effing terrible the horse stampede looks in HD. Was absolutely abominable in the theater. Most of the effects were atrocious, truly. Lots of CG in place of practical for no real reason; and said CG--poorly post-converted from 2D to 3D and back to 2D--was REALLY bad considering the budget. No reason for the over-excessive use of green screen to be so poorly implemented.
Not a horrible movie though. I thought young Liam Neeson... or whatever his name is... was great!Well, I don't want Fop, goddammit. I'm a Dapper Dan man. -

Do yourselves a favor and ignore this movie as it it never existed. I went in expecting to have a fun cheesy time with some great action and came out with a movie that insults your intelligence, is boring, with poor make up and costumes, and also has some pretty tasteless dialog in its mits. If you want to watch a crappy vampire movie, watch Burton's Dark Shadows or John Carpenter's Vampires instead, at least they have one redeemable scene. This has nothing. Better yet, forget the vampires and just watch Transformers Revenge of the Fallen instead.

Not sure why Kain hated it so much. My friend and I both had a blast seeing it. I didn't have high expectations, but it was well done for what it was. I think too many people wrote it off without even giving it a chance. 7.5/10 for me.
Didn't see it in 3D though so I can't vouch for that. -

Fully agreed. The film was a lot of fun. It takes a silly premise and runs with it, creating a nice, unique work of historical fiction. Sure the horses could've looked better but it wasn't exactly a big budget film. I do wish they'd kept the book's full ending, but I still liked very much it overall.

I loved the first transformers movie. 2 & 3 disappointed me, but I didn't hate them. Actually I didn't hate any of the movies you mentioned. They all had their good and bad points and some were better than others.
You're entitled to your opinion, but clearly there were others that liked it, and telling people to stay away from something just because you didn't like it seems a bit arrogant. -

Well I'm trying to save people from wasting their money and time on this garbage, that is all. It is their choice if they want to do so, but I would rather give me money to a bum on the street that really needs it over watching this if I had been forewarned about this crap beforehand.

That's totally legit if you know they have similar taste as you.
I guess it's hard because movies are such a subjective thing. There are plenty of movies that others hated that I enjoyed, and plenty of movies that others enjoyed that I didn't.
I'm just saying that if we dislike a movie, that's our opinion and others may not share it, so if we make a blanket statement like "this is junk, don't watch it", another person could have different tastes than us and could be missing out on something they would enjoy.
