Cloverfield freezing!

i just watched cloverfield again after a long time. the movie kept freezing a 1:10:55. it never did this before. i tried it on my vizio and on my ps3. same results.

after a little research, i saw this seemed to happen to quite a few people, possibly after a firmware update.

has anyone come across a solution for this?

Have you contacted Sony and/or Vizio?
I don't want to sound like I am slamming you, but this is the reason when I upgraded my old Samsung BD1500 I stuck with Samsung, a C6500. They remain consistent in their quality.
