Another one? Man, Crapcom is milking RE for everything they can get out of it. Don't they know they are just raping undead babies?

This one is a CG game spinoff, unrelated to the live action movies.

i want to see this one, based off the teasers i've seen so far. that said, i expect little in terms of quality. if it's great, then i'll be ecstatic, if no, then at least i won't be disappointed.

So is this a sequel to Degeneration, then?

It does star Leon, from RE4, who was in Degeneration. However, it may be a game spin-off or tie-in more than a sequel or tie-in to any of the other films. These cross-platform franchises do tend to get convoluted in that way.

Oh I had fun with RE5, but it was a third person shooter, NOT a survival horror game. I am tired of shooters, I want survival horror, and RE6 looks to be no different than 5. Plus, Wesker was defeated in RE5, so there was no need to do ANOTHER game since the main villian is dead.

Ohhhh, I honestly liked Degeneration, so I'm down with this one.

In RE5 you could not run and gun, which is a shooter. You still had to stop, aim and shoot. It was not a survival horror IMO because you had Sheva at your side all the time. Yes the series has stepped away from the true survival horror but I thought the coop gameplay in RE5 was awesome. I love playing with friends online. The game had a lot to unlock as well, I played it multiple times and enjoyed it a lot.
So what if Wesker is dead, there is always a new villain ready to take the previous ones place!
This is Capcom, they love to keep it going and going and going LOL -

I don't think anyone ever claimed RE5 was survival horror. At this point in the series' timeline, making any of the "classic" characters unprepared enough to be in a Surival Horror situation would be ridiculous.
Reminds me of Chris conveniently dropping his dufflebag of supplies at the beginning of Code Veronica. I think it'd be a bit silly to do that more than once.
Edit: you know... I bet that scene was what made him decide. I can just imagine this going through his mind: "Oh man, I'd better start working out. I should be prepared to carry more than eight items and maybe punch some boulders if I am going to be continuously putting myself in these situations." -

That is why they need to just reboot the RE games. The characters are way too experienced and it takes away from the horror aspects of the game. RE4 managed to blend shooter elements and still make it a horror game, but then RE5 just pissed that out of the window, while Operation Raccoon City took a crap on the last surviving dignity of the RE series.
