Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash.
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

What scares me about the ancient classics - Universal.
They're not like Warner, committed to full restorations so we can cross our fingers. -

Cool news, but that cover art makes it look like one of those "50 horror movies in one set" that you can find at Walmart.

If I remember correctly, Dracula is one of the 13 Universal classics to get the full restoration for their 100 Year Celebration. There was a video a while back that showed the results of the restoration and how certain sounds that couldn't be heard before are now audible.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the other seven monster movies are included as part of the Magnificent 13, though.Check out my HDD reviews or learn more about me here.

Actually, both Dracula and Drácula (aka "Spanish Dracula"), and Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein are all part of the lucky 13 listed in that original Uni100 press release.
I fear for a few of the others, but I'd have to assume that Creature from the Black Lagoon will be in good shape given the 3D transfer. Then again, this new press release gives the impression that they've all been "digitally restored" and if that's not just meaningless PR talk (it probably is, but maybe not) then we might be fine on all 9.Well, I don't want Fop, goddammit. As cool as this is, I own the Legacy Collection DVDs, so this is useless to me unless they went ahead and remastered them in HD.
