I just checked out the features on this bad boy on Blu-ray.com. Holy Cow!!!!
I didn't think North by Northwest would be included in the Universal set as it was already released by WB and I've already purchased North by Northwest. Ah well. Minor problems.
The minute I get this set I'm watching Saboteur then Frenzy. Just awesome we're finally getting more Universal Hitch in HD.I don't care what the white mon say, Santa Clause was a black mon.

Awesome. Would've loved to see 'Lifeboat' included, but this will be an amazing set nonetheless.

Excellent news. Kind of bummed that this means buying Psycho and NxNW again, but then again, maybe it's best not to think about how many times I've bought all these titles over the years....

I'm most excited about VERTIGO and REAR WINDOW.

I was thinking of definately getting this. But now I'm not sure anymore, since I already pre-ordered Vertigo and Birds Steelbooks, and own North By Northwest and Psycho. So the only ones I need to get (with hopefully single releases
) are the following 11:
Saboteur (1942)
Shadow of a Doubt (1943)
Rope (1948)
Rear Window (1954)
The Trouble with Harry (1955)
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)
Marnie (1964)
Torn Curtain (1966)
Topaz (1969)
Frenzy (1972)
Family Plot (1976) -

Normally I wouldn't move on this, but putting NNW in there just about does it for me.
So this is basically the velvet DVD box set with NNW thrown in. Dear lord, that's sweet. -

So is this pretty much the same as the UK box, but with different packaging?
I think the UK box looks prettier, but it's also more bulky... decisions, decisions. -

I haven't got any of these on Blu yet, so hopefully this won't be too much.

Same here. I like the looks of the UK set slightly better, but the biggest issue with me is that one of the pics I have seen of the UK set makes it appear that the discs slide out of the top of the book. Not liking that part of the packaging if that is indeed the case.

I just realized it comes out on the same day as Bond, Avengers, and the week after Indiana Jones. This will be something I'll ask for for Xmas.
