Apparently it was mentioned in the commentary but for some reason someone (or some group) is now making a big stink out of it. And the scene doesn't even show the front of his face. I personally find this outrage absolutely hilarious. Good times.

It amazes me that everyone is saying that this is stupid and blown out of proportion. The same people "chuckling" over this would be upset if it had been Obama's head in the episode. And even if not, I think it's worth noting that if the show runners had simply exercised discretion and good taste to begin with, this wouldn't be an issue. And it also probably would have gone unnoticed if they hadn't gone on to talk about it on the commentary. That wasn't exactly intelligent. Some inside jokes should probably stay that way. For the record, I'm not really interested in politics one way or the other, but I think disrespecting the office of the president like this is wrong, regardless of which party they belong to or how well-liked they were while they held the office. And that lack of respect is troubling to me, as is everyone's assertion that this doesn't even warrant a reissue. In my view, it does. And I'm glad to see HBO pulling something that was done in poor taste. Was it done maliciously or to make a political statement? Who cares. It should not have been done. Not to W...or to Obama...or to any other president. It just isn't right in my opinion.

but this is the same hollywood that stopped airing the Simpsons re-run episode where Homer visits the world trade center for a few years after 9/11 so not too surprised they're so easily disuaded.

You really believe that? You mean they only rented X (was it 2) or so heads and wham one of them happen to be Bush? May of been political, just not from HBO or the director/creator of GoT. Regardless someone probably thought it was funny at the time... why else do you think they remembered it? If some conservative group did something similar to a liberal president and claimed it was an accident and not political... yeah I'd believe that as well The selection of Bush's head was intentional... they may not of special ordered it for this, but they choose it to use out of the many they had... unless your saying this was all they had to use.
