Default 'Masters of the Universe' is coming October 2

My only memories of this are Dolph Lundgren, a hideous Skeletor costume, and a sleepover at my friend's birthday party in elementary school.

Oh shit, this is a must own. I'm sure it will suck now and hasn't aged well, but I have to have this.

    AWESOME!!!

A hideous Skeletor costume? He is the best thing about the movie and it is by far his coolest design ever. Frank Langella was amazing as Skeletor and is really the only thing that makes the movie watchable. I'll be getting it because I am a huge He-Man fan and this is the only thing left not in my collection.

I agree, Skeletor is totally awesome in this movie. The movie also stars a very young Courtney Cox in her pre-Friends days. I reckon with a bigger budget, this movie would have been a very famous 80's classic.

we have very little reason to be interested in them.

I have very fond memories of watching this as a kid, twice in one night, and eating an entire box of fried clam strips. Both times. I was a child of simple pleasures.

It will likely be $19.98 SRP, if not $14.98 SRP. So that's probably a good bet.

"The power to be supreme the power to be almighty ...the power to be.... MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE!

Little known fact: Bill Conti did the music score for this movie.

Chelsea Field as Teela made me feel nice. I was a little shit in those days, but I appreciated her attributes.

Well, guess it's time for us to hide all the Pink Cadillacs, all over again.

Seriously thou, I'm pretty happy this is finally hitting Blu-Ray. I enjoyed this movie as a kid, can't imagine it's aged all that well, but I'll most likely grab this anyway.

It will suck now? Are you trying to say it didn't suck then? Because I was the target age when this film came out and thought it was crap then.

Kind of thought NBC should have aired this movie every week when they were having negotiation issues with the Friends cast. If nothing else, Courtney Cox would have caved just to make this go away.

I didnt think it was too bad, it seemed to rip off Star Wars in a few ways. I mainly like this film for nostalgia reasons.

I always liked this as a kid, and still found it entertaining on DVD a couple years ago when it came out. The only thing I didn't really like when I was a kid was them not using more of the henchmen/sidekicks from the cartoon, but instead creating new ones. Gwildor was kind of lame, would have much rather had Orko but he would have probably been too difficult with the VFX technology back then especially with their budget. I think it would have been much cooler with Webstor, Trapjaw, Triclops, etc. instead of Saurod, Blade and Karg. Although now I feel like Blade was pretty cool.
