You mean less scientifically accurate than all the beings living on Mars?

Now that's just cruel. Maybe Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, or George Lucas F-ed Up A New Hope, but using the analogy of Battlefield Earth and the original-original-original Star Wars is a low blow.

Just watched it was very entertained. I agree with whoever said part of this movies box office failure was lack of or bad marketing. I remember first seeing the trailers and thinking "okay that looks interesting but what is that all about" They did not do a good job introducing the story/characer at all. It's like they assumed everyone would KNOW about it and was just waiting for the movie like Harry Potter or something. Shame. I too wouldn't mind a sequel. Hope the home video release does well.

I liked it enough to give it 3/5 the first time I saw it at the local Metreon Imax but surprisingly, liked it even more this second time around to bump it up to 3.5, even 4 out of 5. I think I just really hate 3d, much preferred watching the movie in 2d on Blu-ray at home, the PQ just looked a lot better to me. Sounded better, as well. Movie sounded off at the Metreon that night, it just sounded a whole lot better over the HT setup. And very subjective but turning on subtitles also made the movie more enjoyable for me to watch, just have a hard time understanding the dialog at times and overall just enjoy seeing what everyone has to say down to the last extra unimportant banter.

I have to agree.. after seeing all the reviews I waited till home video for this movie.. but the movie was great... actually I didn't notice the lack of visual details on the blu ray the first time because I was so overwhelmed by the movie.. but you are right.. the video transfer could've been better

We watched this one this evening. It isn't going to win any awards for sure, but it was a fun little cowboy sci-fi title.

Not expecting much when I bought it, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the movie. Not quite a masterpiece, but I'd say it was at the very least as good as Avatar.

John Carter deserved much better than it got in terms of reviews and box office.

I don't like the flick. Rent it first.
