They all look much better than the old blu ray and hd DVD releases of 1 and 2. I imported this set England last summer cause it came out there earlier like always
at least everyone can get it here in the US now.

Yeah, I have the UK set too and was impressed with the improvements over the older discs, although both both 1 (and especially) 2 got hit with the teal-n-orange stick pretty damn hard in the process of being remastered.
Bet Josh is happy about that.Steve Zissou: Anne-Marie, do all the interns get Glocks?
Anne-Marie Sakowitz: No, they all share one. -

Sorry for confusion. I set this up ahead of time. Will be at doctor's appointment most of tomorrow morning, so I was trying something new. Last time I did this I had jury duty. This should be the last time for a while, I promise!

I think these movies are all awesome except for one single scene in the first movie that I wish they would edit out. It is a blatant goof that stands out a mile. Get rid of it damn it!!!!

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash.
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

While I'm happy to hear the quality is great, I would have bought these 2 years ago. Now, not at all. Not because they are bad movies, they first two are excellent movies, but because I'm starting to get rid of movies I won't watch every 1-2 years. For example, I tend to watch The Thing and Clockwork Orange at least once a year whereas I realized I only watched Starship Troopers and the Underworld movies every 4-5 years, if that. It does not mean I do not enjoy the movies, its just that I do not watch them enough to value actually owning them, especially nowadays that a ton of movies are easily available through streaming. Plus, there are movies that are even better than those that I have only watched once and never watched again. As such, I'm at teh point where I am only going to buy movies that are part of a series (like James Bond, Batman, Avengers stuff, Godzilla, etc), or movies that are truly outstanding like Clockwork Orange, The Maltese Falcon, The Thing, and Shawshank Redemption.

I almost agree with Dr Kain.
LP 1 and 2 were really good, and I loved the blond girl in #2. Both movies worked well.
3 was bearable, Pesci helped and Russo is always pleasing to the eye.
#4 was just HORRIBLE, I'm sorry.
Therefore, I only really want to own 1 and 2
