I have this one on HD DVD, but was waiting for a review to see if the picture had improved on Blu-ray. I was expecting an improvement since I thought I'd seen a statement from Universal indicating that all of their 100th Anniversary editions would receive new remasters.

Since there is no improvement, I'll stick with the HD DVD. That being said, this is a very fun release with high rewatchability and I'd strongly recommend either the HD or BD versions.

as a child of the 70's/early 80's, I'd say this review (both reviewers) are spot on. I loved this movie as a kid and probably didn't see it for over 20 years before I stumbled across it one night on cable. I kept the remote in hand to continue channel surfing and started to roll my eyes and laugh at the cheese factor of the movie...but 2 hours later, I hadn't changed the channel and was still thoroughly enjoying the ride...I'll pick this up when it gets cheap.

i hadnt seen this since i was a kid and of course as most did back then, i liked it but i recently netflixed it and actually stopped watching maybe 20ish mins in. it just kinda bored me and didnt hold my attention. not even seeing a cute, young sally fields was enough...damn me. :P

Sally Field really isn't very hot in this movie. Maybe she really was a nun.
